I think James is trying make his point in the nicest way possible, however I think corey going back to stone sour proves his loyalty. That was his original band, and when his name was big enough to lend itself to that project he did. Painters paint, it doesn't matter what the canvas is. It's unfortunate James doesn't see it through that prism. I find in the pursuit of creativity, there are ideas that need to be explored simply just to get them out of the way. I would love to see metallica go and do different projects away from each other. They have forced themselves into a fishbowl out of loyalty. Nothing they do is all that exciting. For all of the " out of the box " projects they do, it's the one thing they haven't done.

I've been a fan since 1983 when I first heard them and been a fan since but lost faith in the 1990's when they were doing there Load Of Crap era but loving their old stuff i had to forgive them for their sin of posing out still til this day the first 4 albums are the best plus Garage day's ep to welcome Jason into the band before Bob Rock ruined them in my opinion not saying he wasn't a great producer as he is but not a true Metal engineer in my opinion
